EXCLUSIVE: Twilightish Interviews Justin Chon ( @justinchon )
Twilightish: How does it feel to see the end of the Twilight Saga?
Justin: I feel like it is going to be great! Bill Condon is great and he is going to do the last two movies justice and the last book justice. I saw the trailer and it's amazing! Things can't really go on forever, it has been a really good run and if there was no end in sight then it wouldn't be as special.
Twilightish: Over the years, how much of yourself did you end up putting into the character of Eric?
Justin: Well Eric is similar in some ways to me but he tries harder than I do, I don't have the energy to do some of the things he does. He really tries hard to fit in and get laughs. I mean obviously its through me, a lot of my psychosis kind of mixes with the character. I think for the most part Eric and I are similar in being awkward at times and what is not similar is Eric is a human and I am half idiot... I'm a mix breed! I think that's the biggest difference.
Twilightish: Are you sick of people asking you about the crying scene in Twilight?
Justin: Not at all! Here's the thing, we didn't know at first what we were getting into but after the first movie came out we realized that people are going to ask us to do things from the movies a million times. If it is in the movie, every Twilight fan we come across is going to ask us to do it. It's good because at least they are paying attention and acknowledging us.
Twilightish: Of all the characters you've played, where does Eric rank?
Justin: Eric is cool because I worked out all the character details before Twilight started and so we knew where we were going with it, it wasn't a huge mystery every time. I don't really sit down and rank all the characters I've played, "This is my first favorite, this one is my second favorite and so on." I'm a supporting actor and a character actor. I've done a lot of different characters since Twilight and for that matter, during Twilight. I played a guy who thinks he is a black guy, I played a total jerk who was really insecure, I played one of the foot soldiers for a mafia guy, I played a stoner in a zombie comedy - It is all over the board, I liked each part for different reasons.

'Detention of the Dead' brings 'Glee,' 'Twilight,' 'Greek' and 'Hard Times' alumni together
If Disney's "Prom" was a tribute to John Hughes, then "Detention of the Dead" is its"Shaun of Dead" zombie counterpart.
Still in the midst of filming out in Michigan, "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" star Jayson Blair made time to chat with Zap2it about his role in the upcoming Zombie flick.
"At it's core it's a huge tribute to John Hughes and all those '80s films like 'The Breakfast Club,'" he tells us about the film. "The characters are really, really, really modeled after all the characters in 'The Breakfast Club,' but with Zombies in a comedy sort of fashion."
Blair, who plays bully jock Max Owens on the MTV scripted comedy, joins an all star teen-favorite cast on the Gala Films project.
Among his costars are Jacob Zachar (Rusty Cartwright, "Greek"), Justin Chon (Eric Yorkie, "The Twilight Saga"), Alexa Nikolas (Nicole Bristow, "Zoey 101"), Max Adler (Dave Karofsky, "Glee") and Christa B. Allen, who has twice played a young version of Jennifer Garner ("13 Going on 30," "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past"). Rounding out the cast are newcomers Joseph Porter, Danny Sancricca and Rebecca Wegener.

Justin Chon on 'Twilight' beginnings and being a Korean actor
Source Via @twiexaminer.
You're probably aware of the fact that Justin Chon ("Eric Yorkie" in the Twilight Saga) is a Korean-American actor. You're probably also aware of the fact that his character wasn't precisely written to be Asian.
Per the Twilight Saga Wiki, "Eric is described as being 6'3" with hair "as black as an oil slick," brown eyes, and poor complexion."
In his latest interview (attached), he talked about the challenge that fact presented in his audition for the role in Twilight and how that might help to inspire fellow Asian actors to pursue roles not necessarily designed for them. "'Eric Yorkie' wasn't written for an Asian. I had to beat out all the other white people, and I hope that's sort of a motivator for people."
He also discussed his Twilight beginnings:
"When I first heard about Twilight, when my agent told me about it, he was like 'Yeah, I'm going to send you out for this thing, it's about a family of vampires,' I was like 'Nah, nah dude, I just got done with Nickelodeon, I can't go back for that man, I need to do something gritty, something good,' and he was just like 'Well, Catherine Hardwicke's attached,' and I was like 'Ooh, I liked Lords Of Dogtown and Thirteen' . . . 'Kristen Stewart's attached,' so I'm like 'Ooh, I loved Into The Wild' . . . Who knew it was going to be such a hit?"
It's always great to hear Justin Chon and others speak up about the divides which the Twilight series films have helped to break down.

While at the Cape 2010 Holiday Soiree in Hollywood, a red carpet
event for CAPE (the Coalition for Asian Pacifics in Entertainment), Racebending.com got the chance to speak with Justin Chon ("Eric Yorkie") about a few things, including what kinds of roles he dreams of doing in the future.
"I want two things, I want to be in a romantic comedy – a really quirky kind of indie romantic comedy – and I’d love to be an action star."
Chon's portion starts at 1:14 mark in the video below.
He also talked about how well Asian Pacific entertainers have been doing and where their status should lead them in the future.
"We’re doing good, but hopefully we can progress exponentially".
