Christian Serratos on the End of Breaking Dawn and mentions Robert Pattinson

“I felt like it all came full circle and that we did what we came to do and we all really became family with not only each other, but our characters, so it was kind of sad to let our characters go," says Serratos. Filming is complete for both parts of Breaking Dawn, but the cast will still be spending time together to complete interviews and travel to promote the movies – which is good since Christian says despite the hateful relationship amongst the vampires, werewolves, and humans on screen, the cast is actually quite close. “I have my best friends aside from Twilight in the industry and of course they will always be there for me, but you can touch on different things with different friends so it’s good to have these friends.” Of course, we had to ask her about our favorite vampire, Edward Cullen, and when it comes to Robert Pattinson, it seems like he has the ability to steal girls’ hearts everywhere. “Robert’s great. I don’t think I will ever meet anyone else like him. He is so genuine and funny and has a unique soul and I really respect that about him,” says Serratos.

'Twilight''s Christian Serratos Lands Lead In 'Lip Service'

Who needs sparkly vampires? Sure, Christian Serratos got her break in "The Twilight Saga," but now that the final installment's filming is basically finito, the actress is biting into a series of exciting new roles. Last November it was announced that Christian had landed a part in Brenda Hampton's new ABC Family pilot (as yet untitled), and now the 20-year-old has nabbed the starring role in a feature film!


Christian will star alongside Ross Thomas ("Soul Surfer") in the teen rom-com "Lip Service" from Estilo Productions. The story centers on a young singer named Roxie (Christian) who's convinced by a brash record exec (Ross) to lend her vocals to a track purportedly sung by no-talent celebrity Sienna Monetz. (In other words, she's totally going to help pull a Milli Vanilli.) Of course, outside the recording studio, hi-jinks (and romance!) ensue.


The film, executive produced by George Caceres, also stars Rachele Brooke Smith ("Bring It On") and Eric Roberts. Production begins soon, with the film's writer, Carlos Portugal ("Meet the Browns"), in the director's chair.

'Twilight' star Christian Serratos in The Black Keys' 'Howlin' for You' video

Back in December, Christian Serratos ("Angela Weber" in the Twilight series films) let her followers on Twitter know that she would be featured in the music video for The Black Keys' "Howlin' for You," and now the video has been revealed at IMDb.com.

In it, she portrays an assassin with a wild look (she posted a close-up photo of her make-up job on Twitter last December).

You can watch it in full here. Do note that there is strong language and violence before heading over to watch it, though.

Christian Serratos has also announced she's been "reading some incredible scripts" lately, so either she has been preparing for her new ABC series or she's looking to supplement it with something new as well.

Likely, she'll make an appearance at SxSW to support her film 96 Minutes there in March, and the "human" actors from the Twilight series are expected to return to Vancouver to film their remaining portions for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 within the coming weeks as well.

Final note: The Black Keys were featured on the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with their song "Chop and Change."

They've been nominated for the 2011 MTVU Woodie Awards, and they've been asking fans to support them by voting for the song "Tighten Up" here. A video from a live performance of "Chop and Change" is attached as well as the official video for "Tighten Up" and their performance of "Howlin' at You" on Saturday Night Live.

FHM: Christian Serratos casting her spell after dark

Fear and arousal aren’t so different. Both have the same effects on the human body. Adrenaline is pumped into the bloodstream, breathing becomes more rapid, and pupils dilate. So it’s no coincidence that we chose to shoot 20-year-old Christian Serratos, star of The Twilight Saga, in which she plays Angela Weber, the best bud of Kristen Stewart’s surly vampire tickler, in a terrifying house just outside of Los Angeles for our ‘After Dark’ special. The house itself is an antique. FHM toyed with telling Serratos that the room in which she was having her hair and make-up done was a favoured spot for mediums to conduct séances with ouija boards, but thought better of it.

“We shot in an amazing old Victorian house,” says Serratos. “It was great to explore, there were loads of passageways and crawl spaces.”

Having peeled off for a campaign for animal right lovers PETA, Serratos was surprisingly nervous about vamping it up in FHM’s haunted house.

“PETA is a real passion of mine. I was naked, but they were totally separate things. I’m not naturally sexy day to day, and I wanted to be comfortable enough to feel sexy without feeling contrived, so I ended up bringing one of my best friends to let me know if I was doing something ridiculous!”

Luckily she seems to have used up all her ridiculousness by working on kids’ TV shows, after which Serratos landed the role of the ‘bff’ in what has become one of the biggest film franchises ever, and she did it almost by accident.

“I had no idea what I was auditioning for. I hadn’t read the books, I just knew it was called Twilight and it was about vampires. Eventually it started getting more serious with call back and shoot dates, so I thought I should do my job and read the books.”

The Twilight Saga, with one film still to come, has already made over $1.7 billion worldwide and made megastars of the film’s two leads, but even people with smaller parts like Christian can’t escape the spotlight.

"A lot of people say that the fans are eccentric, but I don’t see anything wrong with a person loving something to an extreme amount. No one says, ‘My husband loves me too much, it’s awful.’ The only problem I have is with the paparazzi, I’m never prepared for that. The worst experience I had was when my car was totalled on the freeway in a paparazzi incident. They left me alone after that.”

There is one last question hanging over Serratos and her career. With just one film to go in the saga, and no sign of teeth or fur in these pictures, will Serratos be joining the moping legions of the undead? Or the shirtless ethnic werewolves of desire?

“That would have been cool! But I don’t get either, I stay human. The books do get intense. The last film is going to be weird, but in a good way.”

So given the choice, vampire or werewolf? “I think I’d be a vampire over a werewolf. They’re a little cooler.”

Which is fine, apart from the fact that Serratos is scared of everything, particularly the dark and blood, which would make vamping tough.

“Knives freak me out. People make fun of me, but if someone is cooking I have to leave the room if they’re using a big knife. And I’m scared of the dark. My mum was laying into me about it recently. I’d just moved house and I swore that someone was inside, I heard scratching at the door! But instead of protecting my dog and me, I called her, and she said, ‘Wait a minute, so in an incident like this your solution is to call me instead of the police or getting out of the house?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’”
